(Nov 2) Sherraine Schalm of Canada placed 6th out of
104 in Women's Individual Epee at the 1999 World Championships being held in
Seoul, Korea. Sherraine advanced to the quarter finals (final of 8) with
victories of 15-9 over Silvia Lesoil of Norway, 15-11 over Shaogi Yang of China,
and 15-10 over Timea Nagy of Hungary. In the quarter finals Sherraine lost
14-15 to the eventual silver medalist, Diana Romagnoli of Switzerland.
